Possible SonicWall Threat

SonicWall are investigating potential issues with compromised access to their Gen 7 firewalls.

We have been monitoring this all week.

SonicWall have not released any firm information about the full resolution to this so we would recommend:

  • Upgrading your firewall to the latest firmware, we can do this now or out of hours
  • Disable all SSL VPN connections for this week, we appreciate this could be a problem but would rather err on the side of caution
  • There are other remediation steps we would also apply such as rotating some credentials & Geo IP limiting the SSL traffic to the UK

We are treating this as a high security risk and our Helpdesk will have been in touch with you this week to discuss your system.
